Irene Marraccini, bass clarinet
Irene Marraccini graduated with highest marks and honors at Livorno Conservatory of music under Carlo Failli. She attended specialization courses with Fabrizio Meloni, the first clarinet at La Scala theatre, with Andrew Marriner, first clarinet at LSO, for the bass clarinet with Lorenzo Iosco (HKPhil) and Davide Lattuada (Concertogebow).
She collaborated with many orchestras such as London Symphony Orchestra, Teatro alla Scala, Filarmonica Teatro alla Scala, Fondazione Arena di Verona, Orchestra Regionale della Toscana, Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, Teatro Sociale di Como, Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi, Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Ensemble Contemporaneo Giorgio Bernasconi, Orchestra Giovanile Italiana...
In 2021 she was awarded the first prize in the bass clarinet section of the Città di Carlino International Clarinet Competition.
Alongside with her orchestral performance participations, she also performs in chamber music groups, such as wind quintet, piano duo, string quartet.
